CeX3D Inverse - 3D Models from Photographs Automatically
GALLERY OF THE EVOLUTION OF CEX3D INVERSE
Evolution of CeX3D Inverse on the Image Set: Conwy Castle, Wales
The three input images, used for all reconstructions on this page:
Reconstruction from 2014-03-10 with CeX3D Inverse Pro 0.7.2.0 alpha, Rendered Using (UV-mapped) Texture:
- Download model (OBJ and RIB formats; 25MB zipped): Reconstruction of Conwy Castle 2014-03-10
- There is both a simple model constructed from only the second view (3,344 trigons) as well as a full high-resolution model (335,140 trigons)
- Reconstruction times on a 32-bit 3Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo computer running Linux:
- CeX3D Inverse Pro 0.7.2.0 alpha: 1 hour 55 minutes and 58.5 seconds
- CeX3D Inverse NCU 0.7.2.0 alpha: 2 hours 21 minutes and 44.3 seconds
- The model is less noisy than in previous versions but still contains small cracks
- Texture is projected all the way through the model, so be sure to look at it from the front side
-
Reconstruction from 2013-01-29 with CeX3D Inverse Pro 0.7.0.0 alpha, Rendered Using (UV-mapped) Texture:
- Download model (OBJ and RIB formats; 31MB zipped): Reconstruction of Conwy Castle 2013-01-29
- There is both a simple model constructed from only the second view as well as a full high-resolution model
- The model is noisy (this will be improved) and
contains small cracks (needs more testing)
- Texture is projected all the way through the model, so be sure to look at it from the front side
